Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 14, 2026

The Short Version

Your files never leave your device. We don't collect personal data. We don't use cookies. We don't track you. That's it.

File Processing

All PDF processing on ihatepdf.club happens entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. When you merge, compress, split, or convert a PDF:

  • Your files are read by your browser's local JavaScript engine
  • Processing occurs on your device using your CPU and memory
  • No files are uploaded to any server at any point
  • No file data is transmitted over the network
  • Once you close the browser tab, all file data is gone

We do not have a backend server for file processing. There is no server-side code that handles your documents. We architecturally cannot access your files.

Data Collection

We do not collect:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone, address)
  • File contents or metadata
  • Login credentials (we have no login system)
  • Payment information (we don't charge for anything)
  • IP addresses for tracking purposes

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand basic usage patterns (page views, visitor counts). Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused and does not use cookies. It does not track individual users or collect personal data. You can read Vercel's Analytics privacy policy for details.

Cookies

ihatepdf.club does not set any cookies. No first-party cookies, no third-party cookies, no tracking cookies, no session cookies. Your browser's cookie jar stays empty.

Third-Party Services

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) as part of infrastructure operations. These logs are governed by Vercel's privacy policy. We do not access or use these logs.

Children's Privacy

ihatepdf.club does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no personal data, there is no risk of children's data being stored or processed.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Given our architecture (no server-side file processing, no accounts, no tracking), we don't anticipate significant changes.
